There was a guy local to me that I used to buy bikes from and he had dozens. He would buy out storage units for furniture since he was a furniture flipper and would scrap the bikes when he had a big enough pile. He started posting them online and I would buy the good ones from him for $40 and clean them up, put new tubes and flip for $100. Eventually he cut me out and I assume started doing it himself.
I got my touring bike from a guy like this for 20 bucks. Definitely worth it.

5th one back from the front looks like it has thumbies. And it’s a large size frame. That’s the one I would dig out first.
I regret not buying from our local hoarder. I thought he was weird, now that I’ve got over 10 bikes I understand how he became biker hoarder guy.
