So I missed a spot on one of my bikes before putting away for the winter and came back to this. Forgot to clean out under the hood covers… I'm worried that the bolt is so badly corroded that it will crumble if I keep messing with it. I've tried tapping in a torx to no avail. I dont know if an easy-out will do it but I don't want to try yet. Is there any solution anyone has? The biggest concern obviously is getting debris in the hydraulics, but I am not sure what else might work. It's a Shimano R-8070 di2.

  1. I’ve had to cut a slot into one before so I could remove it with a flathead screwdriver. If you’re careful, it works. Replace this bleed port screw with a new one.

I’d also suggest a brake bleed where you push in oil from the caliper (so a syringe is needed). Pushing oil from the caliper will *hopefully* help flush out contaminants/help prevent contaminants from moving deeper into the line.
