Kept trying to break the brooks in but if was just taking all the fun out of cycling. I’ve moved to the specialized avatar that’s on all the rest of my bikes and I’ve found my love fir the tourer again. Now just needs a clean up and service.

It was a hard decision for me too but after 10 years I switched out my brooks.
Maybe not mount it on another saddle. That will improve its function
I’m going through the same process with the Selle Smp. They are supposed to be wonderful but I just can’t make it work for me. It’s hard to admit when expensive experiments are complete failures.
If if doesn’t fit, it doesn’t fit, no kind of popularity will change that. Out of curiosity, are your specialized saddles narrower?
