I feel like high end race bikes more than ten years old are all destined to reside in the original owners garage or basement forever. Parts become outdated or obsolete, but owner just can’t make themselves drop the price on something in good shape they paid $4k+ for. Too many other good bikes for under $3k and much newer to justify what sellers are asking for a rim brake bike with a drivetrain that will have to be upgraded as soon as it needs any repairs.
