With so many exciting projects happening in Glasgow I decided to have a look at the progress. Its seemed like it was taking ages to get the network and avenues started. Over the last year it’s started to happen quickly as more projects receive funding and more people take up cycling as a primary mode of transport. In this video I’m looking at and talking about some of the avenues. This video did take quite a big effort (two months) for what turns out to be fourteen and a half minutes long. The purpose of these types of videos is to showcase what is available or what is going to be available soon. If this gives someone the courage to get back on the bike just to use for a few short journeys a week then I would consider that a win. I firmly believe there are huge numbers of people waiting for a safe network to be complete before taking to the saddle. The more my videos show a growing safe network then the more uptake we could possibly see in cycling. It’s a good dream to have as the end result is a better city for all.
Thanks for watching.

So informative, excellent video. Can’t wait for all these changes to take effect across the city!
Wonderful overview as always. Some fantastic camera shots!
Great update, thanks!
Bravo 👏 this is another fab video showcasing all the various cycling projects being carried out within the city. It’s obvious how much time and effort you have spent compiling this for everyone to get a glimpse of what’s happening – the good , the could be better and the what could be improved !
It’s such a passion of yours and I would love for the council to actively engage with people like yourself for more input and feedback on improvements. Your knowledge and editing of each of your videos is first class , so informative and interesting to watch . Well done !
What a fantastic update! It's great to see 'Motorway City' gradually becoming a better place at street level – the wide roads in the city centre offer a great opportunity for generous cycle lanes and planting, and I am so pleased that the council seems to have realised this. I've always loved Glasgow, and often dreamt of moving there – if the city carries on improving in this vein, the pull is going to become pretty irresistible!
Looking forward to your next video 👍

Was looking forward to another update video! I was not disappointed 😊 thanks for putting all the effort and making another high quality video for us ❤
Thank you for making these videos and raising awareness! ❤
Brilliant video. I do wish the Duke Street avenue went all the way to Cumbernauld Street. It does seems like a missed opportunity there. That whole section from Bellgrove to Cumbernauld Street really needs repaved, resurfaced, tree lined and a bike lane along it given all of the shops.
Great vid! Glasgow is going to be a much improved and better paced city for the future. Thanks for your efforts with these vids I enjoy them so much!
Inspiring!
Echo everything that has been said in previous comments, outstanding work! 👏
Great video – thanks for the info, didn’t know any of this was happening.
better than nothing but grim stuff really. still far far too much space for cars in the city centre. you should not be able to drive inside the bounds of the LEZ, except in taxis, buses, delivery vehicles, or for those with access/mobility issues
Those Tollcross changes look very welcome! The historic heart of Glasgow and it looks like a motorway junction right now. Nice to boost Argyle St and the east a bit more. Video is great and it makes me excited to live in Glasgow… project looks like it will keep us well ahead of Edinburgh as being the more livable city 😀
What a fantastic overview. Watching jealously from Birmingham!
This is a brilliant video. Great footage of so many of the developments, good analysis and explanations from the biodiversity, traffic management, livability and all round health benefits. A brilliant resource, that hopefully the local legacy media would showcase rather than the grumbles of "generic motorist complaint".
Thank you for all the time you've put into making this review. The West Nile St, High St and Argyle St cycle lanes will make a massive difference for crossing the city centre. Love the bird's eye views of progress.
Great video as always, really exciting to see so much work happening, I'm also hoping that the mistakes and bad design in some parts becomes more and more contrasted against better desing as well, bringing everything forward as time goes on.
Also fantastic use of real footage interspersed with Google maps and consultation drawings, helps to build a full picture
