I replaced my chain today and don't know if this amount of gap in the wheel is normal. But if I take another 2 links off (being a full link chain) it's too tight even with the wheel pushed all the way.

take 1 link off not normal or good
Too much, get halflink chain
Get a half/masterlink
Local bike shop. Get a half link. They’re cheap.
While not totally dangerous, it’s too far back by a link. You might need to take out a full link and replace with one half link, or a full half link chain
