Who knew that traveling the world wouldn’t always be a vacation? We do now!!! My name is Nicholas(AKA Wizard) and i recently traveled to Iceland to bike pack the entire ring road with two of my brothers, Matthew and Brandon. This trip did not go at all how we expected.

  1. The scene of you at the airport unboxing your bike. never had a box but had to put on the peddles and spin the bars back straight on mine 35 years ago .After arriving at Keflavik late at night ! Iceland looks way to touristy these days .

  2. We actually met in multiple places in Iceland. Me and my brother we're the two germans on touring bikes going in the same direction as you did. We met in the east. Nice to see the video. πŸ™‚

  3. RIP The Drone 🫑🫑

But seriously after all the help you gave Tom and Greg I felt so bad for you. Hopefully the increase in eyes on your channel will compensate!

  4. also found you through the geowizard video.. great video man.. was gutted for you about your drone… I used to own a bunch and its so heartbreaking to see it sinking downwards.. all the best with your channel.. I'm a fellow trail runner (although not as crazy distance as you!) so I really look forward to following your journey. cheers from Norway!

  5. Hi man, I came over from the GeoWizard video and as serendipity would have it, I live in Iceland. You guys really got unlucky with the weather and the wind can be especially brutal. Last summer was a wash out. Fair play to you for taking your bike around the country, I can imagine it was very tough.

I would totally recommend doing the ring road by car if you get the chance.

  6. Great video!

Agree with your bro that the best way to experience the country is by car (specifically a 4×4, as they are legally required on the F roads). We went around the ring road (+Westfjords and Snaefellsnes peninsula) and a lot of the stuff we wanted to see or hikes we wanted to do were a distance away from the ring road, often at the end of treacherous gravel roads. It wouldn't be feasible to make these detours by bike.

  7. Came here from Geowizard, love your energy! Your videos are really awesome, I get so inspired to do stuff like this after i've seen this! Love from Sweden
