Beginner here. This Trance X3 is on its way and will be my first FS bike. Hoping I made a decent decision? I’m 6ft and went with the Large. I know it’s an older generation but the price seemed reasonable($1900). Anyone use the bike or have any feedback?

yes…you can’t go wrong with giant…but please…ask these questions before you buy.

I got a Trance X off FB size large and I’m 5’11. Its perfect size for me except for the dropper post. It went too high for me. So I switched it out for a smaller loam dropper post and its all good now. You did good!
Solid bike especially for the price. I would slowly upgrade the drivetrain as parts wear out. Change contact points to your preference as well as tires. Set up tubeless immediately assuming it’s not already.
Great bike. I used to have one of the older ones and they’re a great to ride and can pretty much do anything.
I have this same bike, nothing wrong with it, it’s not the fanciest or lightest, but hell it’s allowed me to get out and do shit I had never done before on a bike. Get out and run it into the ground!
Giant makes good bikes for people of all skill levels and disciplines… But why ask AFTER you bought it? Lol

The quintessential beginner Enduro ish bike. You can rip on these. It’s a solid spec for $1900.
I’d look into upgrading that fork though. You can find some incredible deals on 27.5 forks right now.
I had a trance and absolutely loved it – it’s the only bike I’ve regretted selling. Really great, though very neutral, bike.
Super bike…. All terrain…. Maxxis 2.30… can take allmost anything….
I had no idea the Trance X3 was only $2k MSRP. That’s great value for the build. Usually get stuck with a SX drivetrain and 2 piston brakes at this price point. Kind of unusual to see a mix of Fox/RS suspension.
Anyway, nice bike OP! Enjoy getting it dirty!
