What’s going on? I just replaced a new 98link chain, with a new sprocket, on my 44t chainring and the chain jumps

Is that a 6 speed ? Did the previous sprockets also have a yellow ring?
Had a similar issue on my 2017/2018 model when I replaced the chain and sprockets (not sure if single or plural?) . The new sprocket thing came with a yellow ring instead of I believe a metal spacer originally.
It was 100% compatible according to sources. Should have seen me cycling the first time after I replaced it. Actually was kind of not ok since the chain was jumping over the rear gears. Had to adjust the rear derailleur.
Also the chain became a lot smoother after a couple of rides.

Check your chain connecting link it looks to be jumping.
