Sam anstoppabel !!!
πͺπβοΈπ€ππππ₯π
gode move danny, gooooode moooove. very clean sprint
Absolute warrior
I'd really like to see the UCI do something about these leadout guys disrupting on the way back through the field. Both those guys had tons of safe space to move off to,.. but obviously have been trained to do something different.
eta: this off-season the UCI did make a new rule related to riders getting in the way during sprints, which as I read it should apply to this situation. (it's the rule that some news outlets sensationally reported as a rule specifically against posting up to celebrate when a teammate ahead of you is winning). I'm curious whether/how it will be enforced. If nothing is done about this stage, then I get the feeling that nothing will be done unless it results in actual crashes – which is pretty dumb as IMO the issue is related more-so to gaining a competitive advantage
Nice deviation.
If van poppel doesnβt deviate lund anderson wins, he needs to be disqualified from the race for that
Something needs to be done on Redbull's sprint tactics.
The last two leadouts made it a point to disrupt other sprinters on Welford's wheel instead of pulling away.
There should be team sanctions for this.
Van Poppel clearly blocked Tobias Lund with that deviation
That Red Bull leadout train deliberately disrupted the riders on Welsford wheel. Dirty tactics. Red Bull – Bora – hansgrohe must get a warning!
The UCI should start using its yellow cards
Guys I think the UCI really needs to crack down on the jersey colors to improve safety. Deviations in sprints are fine, no one got hurt today so no need for any real consequences.
The "fellow" crash, persuit, catch the goup, crack on the hill, persuit again, catch them for second time, and win the stage. Amazing.
According to ProCyclingStats: "Danny van Poppel relegated from 8th to 118th for endangering other riders".
Great result for the young Triple-T Teutenberg!
Disgraceful sprint…who was that rider in the purple helmet on the left of Bauhaus who was supposed to win the stage?
'If you watch Danny van Poppel" as the commentator says, it actually appears he looks over to see Welsford to his far right (5:47) and then deliberately fills the gap between them, blocking rider 91. Twat in my eyes
Who cares? They don't know what cycling is there. It ain't riding in sunshine all year.
π΄π΄π΄
Another yellow card for Danny van Poppel coming up?!
Nice to see he came bact to win the stage after his crash. Awesome performance by the RedBull Bora team.
Very strong sprint from Welsford, but DvP shouldn't be closing Andresen (and by extension Bauhaus) like that
Visit Adelaide β€πβ€do not get hurt if possible π’π’π’
The year started off with 3 major pile-ups in 3 races. Not looking great for the season TBH
He doesn't deviate, Van Poppel looks back sees Lund Andersen and does everything possible to him to get in his way. This was clearly intentional.
Both Pithie and Van Poppel should be yellow carded for disrupting the sprint.
Welsford is good enough to win anyway so why endanger everyone in the top 20 places?
TIM TORN TEUTENBERG
Same boring race every year.
Why did they name a hill after the angel of death?
Sam would win all the crits in the US
2:39 tesfazion looks a bit different than i remember lmao
Triple t cool thought the same
The bora leadout needs a severe penalty
Dont use crashes as an apealing thing to get more views, Eurosport people should know this
Only time you'll see Sam Welsford all year.
How good has Sam Welsford been. He is a beast.
