  2. I ride an Ultra with Eagle, 3T Discus 45|40 rims riding 42s, AXS dropper. Its fine. I prefer it over most gravel bikes on the market based on looks alone and not many people have them so it is unique when I show up to an event.

I did strip the seatpost wedge once and it was a $40 part.

I cracked the OG seatpost on singletrack – the shop had fit me and torqued it, had only owned it maybe a month or 2, 3T send out a free replacement with a thicker seatpost, but I’d already bought a AXS dropper while waiting.

Somehow the front fork’s brake mounts got out of alignment and my front brake was rubbing hardcore and wearing out right away. Shop had to order a special diamond attachment for the facing tool since it is straight up carbon so that was like a $300 fix, basically paid for the tool attachment for the shop. That happened about 1.5 years into ownership.

I also moved across the country from where there were like 5 places in my city that sold 3T to the closest place that sells 3T is like 3+ hours away from me now.

So would I buy a 3T again? If the price was right. Am I happy with the bike? Yes, I have abused it hardcore, more than most people do.

Also on descents with a dropper, it is like I’m being sucked downhill, everyone is amazed by how fast I go and I believe the aerodynamics have a lot to do with it. A lot of people make a joke about the fat downtube “Is that where the battery is? Harharhar.”
