Basically what the title says. I decided to switch stems as i wanted to get in a more stretched out, aerodynamic position. Is it just me or did the old stem (3rd pic) suit the bike better as the slightly positive angle (-8° on a 71° steerer tube angle) made it roughly follow the line of the top tube?
The new stem is -21°. Also the oilslick colour is mire green than purple, which I didn't want. Ignore the orange pedals, they are temporary.

I prefer the look of the first picture but who cares what it looks like? Massive cassette draws the eye away from the stem anyway 😝
I think both look fine. Just ride so fast nobody notices the stem!
That is a pizza plate of a cassette!! The bars are too flared for my taste but roll with what works for you!!!
You can always use the old stem and cut the steerer to get a similar position. Just remove the spacers from below to above and test it out. I would have started there as opposed to buying a new stem.
looks sick imo.
Much better aesthetics than the reverse orientation (stem angled upwards) but no shade towards anyone who needs a positive stem angle for fit purposes.
Fit + functionality > aesthetics.
They both look good. Horizontal stems need to be perfectly horizontal to look good, which yours basically is, so good to go.
Dude, did you swap an 8 degree stem with a 21 deg to get lower, whilst leaving the 40 mm spacer stack? Taking out ~10 mm of spacers would have had exactly the same effect, unless you changed the stem length too, of course
