I was taking apart my Ultegra 6700 left shifter after it broke, and noticed what looked like a bit of electronics after removing the top cover.
The circle is about the size of a 2032 battery. My first thought was that it was for electronic shifting, but this is a fully mechanical shifter.
Any ideas?

Search Shimano Flight Deck for more information. It connected to a computer
