I’m considering getting a road bike. My budget is a maximum of €1700. Initially, I planned to order the Canyon Endurace AL 7 for €1500 (new), but unfortunately, it’s currently out of stock on their website. Now I’ve come across a used Canyon Ultimate CF SL 7 (2021), which I can get for €1650, including pedals. The bike is said to be in excellent condition and has only been ridden about 500 km.

What do you think? Should I go for a new but slightly less high-end bike or a used, higher-end model? The price is essentially the same, as I’d need to buy pedals for the Endurace AL anyway.

  1. I would try to negotiate the price of the bike. You have nothing to lose, and the current second-hand market is still so crowded that buyers have power to negotiate.

For a new Canyon bike don’t forget to use a 100€ code from the referral megathread.

  2. Check regularly the website and don’t wait for the info from canyon if you registered interest.
The website is updated often, stocks appears and disappear before the mailing is out
