I'm looking for a new bike to ride to work.
I found a few within my price range, but I have no idea what the differences really are.
Are these good options, or should I consider spending a bit more? What makes bikes well over $1,000 so much better, and what should I be looking for in a bike?

Ehh, I don’t know either model but from those websites the biggest difference seems to be that the Avanti has an internally geared hub. In theory that means less maintenance. Plus, I think it looks nicer than the trek.
