Saved this bike from going to the dump yesterday. I’m planning on fixing it up and gifting it to my little brother. Needs new tires, tubes, and grips. I might replace the group set with some shimano cues stuff I have lying around.
Anyone have any budget part recommendations?

Maybe a less crusty saddle? Otherwise anything else to make the bike fit your brother better, the stem looks a bit long on this one.
Gewage aluminum flat pedals with reflectors. Practical and cheap. I like GPMTer grips for the $6. I do the “universal bike transmission line shift kit” on Amazon. All you need for $10. Real brand name and application-dialed tires are worthy spend to me and I’m a real cheapass.
