I'm just imagining how much greater the amount of space this would take up would be if all of these people were in cars. Not to mention the noise, pollutants, and danger!
The lady on the bike at 0:39 really shows off what a terrible position mountain bikes put you in for regular cycling. While she does look like she's a bit shorter the position makes her look even shorter than she is.
Wow, this is heaven for cyclists like me who ride around 7000 km per year (average). My most kilometers were made last year, around 9400 km. But Bucharest is a car centric capital, so I risk my life in the traffic everyday.
I believe that the initial shift away from a formerly car-centric society occurred back in 1970’s. I think initial changes passed by just a single vote on the “radical” city council. There was enormous fear and resistance to removing parking for bike lanes but look how it all turned out: a society has been transformed for the better in many measurable ways. Similar changes are underway in Vancouver (BC), Montreal and Paris. Could your city be next?
Notice all the elderly people riding… crazy what happens when old people stay active during old age instead of losing all motor function from lack of use.

Awesome pace of life there!

Wow no parking signs for bikes… Berlin definitely isn't a bike city 😅
And ,In Australia, I get ridiculed, and treated like an idiot when I ride my bike. Born Dutch , incidently. My love of cycling must stem from there.
is this the original sound of this video? I wonder where the noises are coming from
