First run of my commute to school :)

Did a practice ride to my college, the pic is from the prettiest part of the ride, it’s 7.7miles one way. I’m in the Bay Area of CA and the weather is perfect to commute in. It took me 1 hr 53 min there and back. I’m pretty damn slow but now I know how much time it’ll take me. I got this bike used it’s a 90s unevega with shifters on the frame and it’s working pretty well to get me from point a to point b. I almost went with a more leisurely bike like a cruiser with fat tires and bent handles bars. I’m glad I went with a road bike so that I can have room for faster rides as I get in better shape. Thanks to this community I felt confident picking a bike and just throwing myself back into it!
