Hi Canyon fam – I ordered a [Ultimate CF SLX 8 Di2](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/race-bikes/ultimate/cf-slx/ultimate-cf-slx-8-di2/3320.html) and was planning to change the cassette to 11-34 (from the 11-30 that comes with the bike). I thought I’d check to see if the powermeter on the crank compatible with the new cassette and chainring.
I was told by the Canyon chat expert that this bike does not support a 11-34 cassette – at least not with the power meter. I am so surprised as this seems like a common change that many customers would want to do in a new bike. I’ve even seen quite a few posts of people who have bought this bike and we’re planing to change the cassette to 11-34 to help with climbing hills.
Does anyone have any experience with this?? Just so bummed because it means I’ll have to return the bike.

The customer support person doesn’t know what they are talking about.
I have the same groupset and the rear derailleur is able to handle up to 34t. I have switched the cassette to a 34t – I had to adjust the B limit screws to accommodate the biggest cog, so it’s definitely not switch and go.
I also have a 4iii left side PM and it’s not affected by the cassette you use in any way at all.
Go for it.
