Hi everyone, I’m new in this community. I was riding up a hill and heard a snap-you can see the results in the pictures. What could have happened here, just catastrophic failure after fatigue? Is a derailleur worth replacing? Located in EU if that helps.

That is quite the failure! It probably is just from fatigue. ~~I could not make out the derailleur model~~ (**Shimano Ultegra Rear Derailleur 9 Speed.** I think this is what that is), but try googling whatever text is on the derailleur. You can probably find the exact one that is new used for $10-30 (US). If the rest of the bike is still running, I would just replace it.
I’d unbolt, unscrew, and clean everything to see if there’s anything that can be salvaged. It looks like the frame is still OK, which is a good thing. If you need to get a new derraileur hanger, buy 2; there are a million different patterns, all mutually exclusive.
Of course it’s worth replacing if you want to be able to ride the bike again.
Your particular Ultegra derailleur is no longer available new, but the current Shimano Sora RD-R3000-GS uses the same cable pull and cage length and will work with your existing shifters. The Sora rear derailleur is not expensive and commonly available new through most retailers.
