  1. I wouldn’t be so much worried about the carbon layup but your seat post seems to be split in half. /s

  2. A lot of black carbon bikes i’ve seen tend to show hints of carbon underlay beneath (Specialized being one of them). Might be normal as a lot of time it’s more of a clear coat over the carbo than a full coat of paint like on traditionally painted bikes.

    The first scratches and visual imperfections always hurt the most. But it’s a bike, it’s meant to be ridden and not to be exposed in a museum.

    That’s how raw carbon is supposed to look. They could have added a layer of uniform 3k weave to hide it all like bikes in the late 2000’s but that would just add weight
