Nah man if you’re trying to build a single speed running right now go for it because there’s a kit to turn your rear cassette into a single speed which you can get later

If you don’t mind limited gearing and large jumps between gears, sure. Many people apparently can live with a three gear internal hub, so there is that.
I personally don’t like that, hence all bikes I ride have two chainrings on the front, even with a 11 speed cassette.
