  1. That’s not a freewheel. Looks like a uniglide cassette.

The smallest cog is the lock ring, you’ll need two chain whips

  2. I think this is actually Shimano’s first model of freehub and cassette, my old 1983 Lotus came with one. You need two chainwhips, the smallest cog is threaded and screws off.

  3. Doesnt it slide off? The splines look like the ones on shimano freehubs, it also has threads on the inside for what I suppose is lockring. The only thing that baffles me is that its 7 speed, which are mostly freewheels, but im gonna say this is not a freewheel. I would try moving the cassete in reverse, as steel cassetes can bite into the freehub splines and thus hold onto it. There is also possibilty of some abomination, that the previous owner could do. Look on YT for cassete replacement, so you can se what it most likely looks under.

  4. uniglide! you need two chainwhips as the smallest cog also acts as a lockring and is threaded onto the freehub body.
