      I don't know why, but whenever I see Joe Marler and listen to him talk I think of a battle hardened medieval knight. Our Rugby players would have been knights of old.

      It's refreshing to actually hear some honesty about retirement rather than players just collecting a paycheck for as long as possible and slowly fading away!

      Love Marler for his brutal honesty. He knew his shelf life was up. No doubt in his mind. the decision gave clarity too his life.
      great character a colourful one. I hope he finds his new raison d'être. I have no doubt people will come knocking on his door. He should take a year off then get back into something he loves doing.

      agree with marler as a Quins fan don't like the direction the team is going seemed really together in 2021 under Matson and millard the cohesion has completely been lost under danny wilson's poor man management shining through again if marler could get the man who failed at Glasgow sacked id be eternally grateful great pod as ever boys x

      First despite the star (and being a Leicester supporter) I’ll be biased and thank the other two here, not just for this but for years
      And then there’s Joe Marler …. In an age where being an individual non corporate line person is itself hard (well it is if you want to be included) then the fact he was included for all that time means even the bean counters figured his actual worth out.
      For me, just thanks. I doubt it’s the last time anyone will hear from you but be happy, stay safe, look after the kids etc is first now.
      You’ve been an inspiration to many and the modern game is a ball breaker behind the scenes in conditioning, training etc … your time now
