Funny how we have come full circle in someways with road cycle engineering…
First the theory was make the frame and tubes as thin and light as possible > then it was make them as stiff as possible … the compliance sucked but so what > then it was make the frame as aero as possible > then it was make the frame as compliant as possible again > now it’s back to don’t worry about weight, make it as aero as possible again and add wider section wheels and tires.

how do you manage to have that fat of a cassette on the 7800 derailleur? i can barely fit a 28t.

i’m not a weight weenier, so forgive if this is stupid, but isn’t getting a smaller carbon framed, rim brake bike to clock in just under 7kg not *that* hard?
