As a bike person, don’t change anything for a bit (other than saddle/stem/fit stuff), maybe even until it wears out. It’ll give you an idea of what actually could be improved, so you can make a better decision on what you want/need.

As a fellow bikesdirect bike owner, take your pick, almost every component on the bike is meh at best. If it is within my power, I will never work on tektro lyra’s, so that could be a start.
