commentcommander on January 10, 2025 6:50 pm Question to other people who might have this frame: Does your synapse have a bottom bracket cover or is it just open to the elements [like mine](https://imgur.com/a/TpW9RU4)? I would be surprised if Cannondale made this design choice but I also don’t see the cover in the [Synapse “Owner’s Manual Supplement”](https://www.cannondale.com/-/media/files/manual-uploads/cy22/021_can_138672_oms_cy22_synapse_en.ashx) Replacement Parts exploded view… But I also see a cover/plate in the [previous version](https://www.cannondale.com/-/media/files/manual-uploads/manuals/oms%20cd%20bk%20rd%20synapse%20disc%20en%20r1%20134911.pdf) so it would be odd for cannondale to backtrack on this plate… Alternatively, has anyone tried getting the cover for the previous frame version that definitely does exist and just use that on this frame? UPDATE: in case anybody else comes across this with the same question. I guess Cannondale just decided the cover was superfluous. [Another redditor](https://www.reddit.com/r/bicycling/comments/1bog3di/nbd_cannondale_synapse_carbon_2_le_very_few/m6g31fh/) confirmed they also don’t have a cover, so it seems that’s just how it is 🤷♂️
