Hello.
I'm super stocked on getting my dream bike that took quite some time to work towards. I have it stored like this, back wheel on the ground, front wheel held by this hook in most likely drywall (it is a very large diameter screw, and my walls are so thick I haven't found a stud finder that actually detects them as of yet. I want to know if this is safe,
1. if my wheel will bend overtime?
2. If the suspension front and rear or hydraulic brakes will get damaged over time
3. Do I risk it eventually crashing down, given i pulled on the hook with a decent amount of weight and it didn't budge.
It's worth mentioning, I had a bike that was slightly lighter on this exact hook, but it's smaller and I had to move the hook and screwed a new hole for where it is now.
Any feed back is appreciated, absolutely in love with this bike!

The hook might come out after some time. You will bend your wheel naturally on the trail.
Hello, I’ve been hanging my bikes this way for years. As for your concerns :
1. No. If you’re really concerned about paint /sratches, and your hook is bare metal, just wrap an old top tube around the hook secured with self almagating or electrical tape.
2. No, I’m assuming this is actually better for your front suspension.
3. If you’re concerned about fixings just get proper drywall anchors.
As I read several times, think about what your bike will endure on the trails when you are asking a question like that.
If a piece breaks because of your wall mount, you wouldn’t want to do a big drop with it.
1. No
2. No
3. Maybe but the bike will be fine.
Bike shops do it.
