  1. Do not use a spacer. You should almost never use a spacer. Disregard all advice from amateurs who say to use a spacer.

    You can crimp the chainstay to provide a bit more clearance but the reality is that the frame was not designed for 144mm BCD cranks. Use 130mm BCD road cranks and you’ll be fine.

    This would drive me crazy!! I’d just get new cranks and save the Miche’s for another bike or sell them.

    Or, you could always file down the edges of the spider near the chainring bolts.

    JK do not do that 🤣
