I’ve spent a good amount of time working up to this set of jumps at the skills park. This is the first of 4 consecutive jumps each exponentially larger than the last.

Talking to guys there who ride these effortlessly they talk about how doing these jumps is not about height it’s pushing front wheel down to pump into the next jump.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

  2. You’re letting the lip pop you up over the gap. Any.ore speed and you’re going over the bars. Try standing up to the jump, common phrase you can google, and taking more control of the bike on take-off.

  3. You see where the jump is curved? Push into it there, as your tires leave the lip your arms and then legs should be coming close to locked out. Then once you’re in the air you can re-bend your limbs a little (but don’t loose the pedals with your feet) to be ready for the landing. Once you’re comfortable with that you can work on doing those two movements with more force and speed and that’s called boosting/popping/pulling.
