Just a few days before Christmas and ive got the chance to get one last session in to end the year.
With more blustery winds during the night and first thing, i head to the Lowestoft area, looking for some shelter.
My first choice venue is free and so i give “Birdseye” a few hours…
I have been informed by a subscriber the broken ground in close is not so much an old sea wall, they were actually part of WW2 coastal defenses, put there to prevent beach landings and to protect HMS Europa.

The nearby Lighthouse Diner/Cafe is the only real facility for your food, drinks and toilets.

Hi Dave, thank you for your , tips, venue details, always valuable, and appreciated, quite a distance for me to get to a beach, to wet a line , am in Hertfordshire, lucky to have a boat in Eastbourne Marina, if unable to get out on the boat , I have some great beach marks to fish, last trip on the boat , we had a nice mixed bag, 2 codling, and some lovely black bream , wishing you and your family a healthy and happy Christmas and New year, Graham

Missed you by a day I was there Thursday.
If you get a rod tube while fishing it can be fixed to the tripod and prebaited rig can be dropped.down ready for use and away from hungry dogs

Take the next road left then left again head for Ness point park in the free bit not too shaggy on the lower level
