So, after a day of bikepark riding today I saw that I snapped the body of my right Cube RFR SL 2.0 pedal. Only noticed it on the last lap at the bottom of the trail. Scared the crap out of me. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I know these weren‘t the most expensive pedals out there but I feel like this shouldn‘t be a weak point on any MTB pedal

I have only ever snapped at the spindle…would much rather have it happen the way yours did though.

Did you hit a rock maybe? I would check and see if you could warranty them.
I’m wondering how this still not happened to me. Not cheap flats, but my local trail is basically rock and I solid hit them on the rock around 4-5 times/hours.
Still, hope to not crash to hard when that will happen.
That pedal looks pretty beat up. I would bet you impacted it a few times.
Not great, but I’d prefer it fail there rather than the spindle give out – I’ve had a cheap one fold over almost 45 degrees after a bad landing, not fun.
