Interesting to see you try to make the best of the "dump" Margate has unfortunately become. The Turner gallery is an art gallery dedicated to Turner but does have different exhibitions throughout the year. Margate Dreamland used to be an early form of theme park, and was very popular up until the 80's, when it started to fall into decline. They have attempted to bring it back to life as an historic fairground, but has not been very successful. You could have used main roads from Canterbury to Margate.Hope your bug has gone and a Happy New Year
Another Place is a piece of modern sculpture by British artist Antony Gormley located at Crosby Beach in Merseyside, England. It consists of 100 cast iron figures facing towards the sea. The figures are modelled on the artist's own naked body.
Went there few years ago looked great with a nice sunset.
A bloke in Sheffield had an elephant 🐘
I here you with the man flu, it’s wipped me out the whole of Xmas, it’s been awful. I hear what you say being uncomfortable as could not settle in the van. Happy new year both ❤
Happy New Year🎉 hope you both get to feeling better soon
Great vid guys I laughed loads and really cheered me up 😊 thank you. Horse poo, why is it acceptable to be just left in the road (or path) and it's £1,000 fine for dog poo?? Doesn't horse poo have bad bacteria in it 🤷♀️ i bet it does. Noisey brakes = copper grease = quite brakes 👍 The Turner jokes were my favourite 😁 could watch all day long and can't wait for the next one – don't forget the best cure for man flu is swing um in wing um 😉 oh and I got an Atlantis bobble hat for Christmas and I love it 👍 I've not had it off my head 😁😁 si thi later arelass is shartin at me 😂
Great video, thank you ! I remember the roads to Sandwich – not easy and I was feeling 100% and driving my first car (a small clapped 1975 Toyota Corrola). It just seemed a maze of country roads and took forever and I was only travelling from South London to watch the Open golf. Top effort 👍 Sculptures along the seashore, we like Cleveleys (just between Blackpool and Fleetwood) – easy parking for our campervan although mostly ‘pay and display’ (didn’t use to be) except at the very north end. Hope you both return to full health soon. Love the channel (and Biker ..) and best wishes for 2025 👍😀😀
30:34 😬where does he keep getting them.😅
❤ HAPPINESS to you both in 2025 and doggies❤🎉😊…and I hope your Colds 😢😢 leave you soon ….stick your head by a bit of vick…or rub it on your Chestxx
You must have taken the old roads towards Bekesbourne (immediately Right out of the site) if you had gone to the main road then Right it would have taken you to Wingham in 10 minutes 😊 I grew up in that area in the estate behind the site. Great memories thanks.
At about 34.10 in your video you drove past Steph and Doms place on the left i think it was called Salutation ? but i am dyslexic, beautiful place to visit as they have gardens open to visitors. Recommend sandwich campsite but not open all year round, Happy new year
Got them fellers in the sea in Liverpool
It’s that fog made everyone ill, my dog threw up for a couple of days after that
Happy new year 🎉🎉
Both poorly but both still very entertaining & always fun!!! Looking forward to your travels in 2025!!!
Sorry your feeling ill, we too have this awful flu and had to cancel our trip to Scotland, gutted! Thanks for the video, we coughed along in sympathy 😂
I had my summer holidays in margate in the 70,s,such great memories, dreamland was fantastic back then, and that awful block of flats was there,in the 70,s
You always knew when you were near margate, you could see the flats for miles!
Loved the vlog thank you 👍hope to visit this summer
House with blue roof on the sea front in Seaburn, Sunderland 👍🏼
Did you see another man looking out to sea, under your feet when you visited Folkestone pier?
Hi guys. We use our samsung tablet and signed up for co pilot which was £25 a year. Program in your own rig so picks routes that are suitable for mohos. Another great video. Love the voice over lady – hilarious!!
Haha, welcome to Kent, try and find the sign that says ham and sandwich. You could take a photo but don't pinch the sign, lots have relocated the sign. Going through Wingham there is a great bakery, the wildlife park is a great place to visit. You want to set your sat nav to bigger roads, Kent has lots of tiny narrow roads, and as it's all country side it's also full of tractors. As you went over the railway line, big house after the fire station is where the Google box couple used to live.
Who knew Margate invented the shell suit.
if you think Kent bad try surrey
That statue is by Anthony Gormley who did Angel of the North, amongst lots of other figures around the country
I’m retro remember where there’s the boy & girl holding hands looking out to sea, I think it’s Newbiggin Northumberland 🤔
Born in the Dearne Valley and grew up in Canterbury, so it's a treat to see a couple of Tykes exploring places I know like the back of my hand. Thanks.
Innuendo bingo lol❤❤
Hi we have just found your channel. We live in Kalgoorlie Western Australia. We love watching it.
We will be buying a motor home this year and doing a lap of Australia. I’m a retired soldier but my partner is still working as a teacher here. Great content and some humour. Keep up the good work we have just subscribed.
FO, who’s interested in you 2 c**ts
JW Turner or something……turnover, turn around, turn a blind eye. You two never fail to make us laugh xx 🤣
Happy new year🎉. Will you be taking the motorhome across to France and maybe beyond this year?
Wow you guys made that really hard for yourselves. The main road between Canterbury and Margate is really wide and straight. You guys managed to take every old back road you could find.
Make sure you get all the vitamins you need, in particular vitamin D.
I don't understand why you got the route you got on waze. Think the settings need looking at. Living in Folkestone I tend to like visiting Rye for a day out.
Try driving at about 10mph and slowly raise the handbrake then release a few times, that sometimes works.
Another place is at Crosby beach just outside Southport. Life size statues on the beach by Antony gormley very thought provoking.
At 12:30 (you were checking your Sat Nav) you passed by The Salutation in Sandwich where Steph and Dom live.
Hoping to start our south coast tour as soon as the weather allows. Thanks guys… great vlog as always..
When are you restocking your hoodies please Claire? X
Hi are you full time van life and was just wondering what you both do for jobs because me and my wife are thinking of doing the same thing as you guys
narrow country lanes should be made by law one way only. not two way pass.
that stop u made in that car park looks like run down blackpool?
margate has a lotta sand, myself goes there to a car event later in summer
margate does have its issues bad and good points? good luck on your travels
What impresses me the most is that everywhere these two drive — they drive on the wrong side of the road — absolute maniacs . . I just love it . They don't care . STEP ASIDE EVERYONE ELSE .
That is what my mind plays out anyways — pretending they are where I live rather than the UK .
If you can drive in Kent, you can drive anywhere.!
Who'd could have foreseen that what was missing from my life was a mid-40s vanlifing couple discussing the origins of the word 'shart….'😂
I Live in Kent can't drive more than two miles with out hitting road works or road closures for the last two three years
I work in UK rental business for 8 years. When you mention car condition for inside, this is standard with all most all rentals. Car was 71 reg. Scratch on the car this is not to bad considering car age.
Over all with car rental you get very lucky that Enterprise give you the chance to take extra cover £70 after the incident on the road, usually they don’t. And if this guy stop and he admits his error, you still end up paying £250 excess till they Rental com. make successfully claim with thirty party. Then they refund you, if you ask.????
So don’t be to much disappointment with the outcome come, could be much worst.
The rental insurance claims don’t count as this is private rental Insurance. Don’t worry about this.
