I bought a Giant Contend AR for a charity road race about a year ago. I am a mountain biker first and foremost, but I have been using the Giant for commuting. I've had multiple flats because the roads aren't great around me. What size tire could I put on this bike. Preferably on the stock rims, but I'm willing to get a second wheelset if that's my best option.

I’d want a shot of what the chain stay area looks like before making a judgement of what tire size you would need. What are you running for tire size now?
Also Giant might have a max tire clearance listed for the frame/fork to follow on their website.
