You’re relying on your pedals to keep the bike up. Practice just holding a manual with your weight as long as you can without pedaling. Then when you add the pedals you’ll be able to go forever

Im going to say a higher gear. Remember that the key to a locked in wheelie is to be OVER your back tire.

    Think unicycle.

You need your weight to be at 12oclock. If you aren’t about to fall backwards you aren’t high enough.

  3. Shift one gear harder and Practice and keep practicing, you’re gonna unlock it any day now cause you’re doing pretty good.

Harder gear, lean back more, you want to almost feel like you’re hanging off the back of the bike. and feather that rear brake to slow down, not just drop the front wheel.

  5. Hard to tell from the video, but it looks like you’re looking at your front wheel. Keep your eyes looking ahead. Like others said, keep your weight back and try to keep your arms as straight as possible. A harder gear will also help

  6. Everyone saying different gear is wrong. You need to lean back more. More than you think. You should be able to hold it at any speed in any gear once you learn the balance point. Cover the rear brake and learn to feather it if you are starting to tip backwards. If you never get the feeling of tipping backwards you aren’t leaning back enough. Also once you get the feel for the sweet spot use your hips to pump and balance. It’s also slightly easier to learn on a very gradual decline. Speed is your friend as well.

Wait you’re not too bad what?? I would say go into a lower gear (harder (cause some say higher gear)) and rely more on your brake because you seem to be doing more pedaling than balancing. I hope this helps a little

  8. No u don’t u doing good 💪

Maybe next gear on and learn to lean back on the brake more trustingly ☝️

  9. I ride wheelie 29er bmx bikes. The key is to lean back and be over the tire. Your gear doesn’t matter as long as you use the brakes and stay in the balance point you can wheelie. But as far as the brakes you will feel yourself start to go back and look out so lightly tap the brakes so the wheel drops enough to be back in your balance point. And drop your seat so it’s easier to recover after getting into your balance point.
