i think the white residue is salt, it’s my first winter riding in snow

This just reminded me, I need to wipe down my bike before the salt damages it some more. But me, I just clean it the normal way I would after a rainy day. Get some hot water, add some dawn soap and wipe it down, while constantly changing the water. Then I spray some white vinegar on the wheels to get off excess dirt and smudges.

That frame yo! 🔥Keep it clean-wet rag non abrasive material like a t shirt then dry rag. I like to use WD 40 to degrease chain/drive/cog and to remove anything that may eat through paint or cause rust spots. However, just use a rag for now and then do a deep cleaning in the spring or summer. Make sure to use chain oil after degreasing chain.

You in NY in an apartment. Go to the car wash and give them 10$. It’s the best. I used to do the shower bike wash nonsense. Just horrible

I have that same chainring! Those colors are rad! Ngl, I just use a rag and watered-down cleaner, and then I’ll prolly lube my chain.
