I had an IRO Mark V in 2011, but gave it to my brother because I stopped commuting to work on it. Haven’t really ridden a bike since then. Last week, I found the same sized bike on FB for $250 and decided to pull the trigger.
I wanted to learn how to maintain a bike, so I ordered a bunch of parts and started watching youtube videos!
I replaced the stem, handle bars, hub bearings, bottom bracket, pedals, and added a front brake!
It was a lot of fun and now I know how to fully build a bike. I’ve got new tires but I’m going to practice skidding a bit before I put them on.
