Is it possible fir a bike to not have a barrel adjuster? Also, how to know where to adjust the H limit screw to?

Barrel adjuster is on the shifter (easier to adjust while riding). Put it into high gear and screw the high limit screw in until it starts jumping out of gear and back it off 1/2 a turn.

Also, your chain looks too long.
