They end up around the same price after shipping since I can buy the trek locally. The Growler seems like a great deal but I don’t know what I’m talking about. Im in Florida if it matters so no hills to speak of but id like the bike to fun to ride in the park we have here (see below) and on paved trails with my son while he learns to ride.

    The Growler is an absolute animal. The fork sucks for harder riding and should be swapped out for serious riding. I bought the 20 because I loved the geometry and the price. The wheels are pretty weak if you ride hard, but it is an easy bike to just toodle along long on as well. Really comfortable. I ride it often on the North Shore, and although I have a full sus. Rocky, I find myself gravitating to the Growler. I’m not sure about the Trek. If you want to progress to harder riding, get the growler.
