I’m looking at getting a DH bike. As I do mostly shuttles, lift service in the PNW and the yearly trip to Whistler.
Do you think this is a good deal?
Are there any another DH bikes in the US that are similar value?
Biggest con I see is the TRP brakes and X fusion coil. But I don’t have a ton of experience with these. Anyone here with first hand experience?

Biggest caveat there is that GT is likely going out of business
If you buy this I wouldn’t count on warranty service existing. GT’s future is very much in question. That being said, I’ve heard great things about these bikes and thought about buying one myself.
Insane value go for it before it sells out.
TRP makes very good brakes. Not sure about the shock but doubt it matters until you reach a certain level. I say go for it.
Can’t comment on the price compared to other bikes in the US, it shows £4500 for me and the best deal I can get on a similar entry level Santa Cruz V10 is £4977. At $2450 that’s under £2000 which for a quality downhill bike like this is crazy cheap in my opinion, but UK prices are much higher in general.
Take into account that GT are shutting down, warranty might be an issue.
