My tire says 630 on the wall, and i’m measuring the rim at 630 or 640; yet the tire is clearly too big. Its making me feel dumb haha, what am i doing wrong?

27 1/4 is 630. It’s sightly larger than 700c (622).
Your wheel is 700c
If your tyre says 630, then the rim is likely 622, the most common rim size. You have to take the measure at the tyre bead.
Come on man.. It litterly says “32-630 (27×1 1/4)”.. It can’t be that hard..
How are you measuring the rim? Looking at that rim I’d definitely assume it was a 700c, not a 27″ rim from something from a 70s road bike…
