  1. You don’t want the real answer.

That’s not a bike you upgrade. That’s a bike you pedal around until it breaks and then you get a new bike.

That being said there ARE things you can do that will improve it and swap over to a new bike at minimal cost.

Brake pads. Odyssey ghost clears. Best in the business. You COULD look into putting new brakes on it (I think it has 990 mounts) on it- Springfield completes are cheap and good – or go to Odyssey evo2s if you want that gangsta shit. You won’t be able to do the fronts – that’s a single mount side pull. You can do pads but that’s about it.

Bars. I’m guessing those bars are some jank ass geo from like 2001. Go get a set of good 4130 cromo bars. I like s&m fu-bars, fit raw deals, and deco genius bars (these are just about impossible to find, I bought chads last set from Chad directly). Grips are also cheap- I like s&m btm “money” grips. Bonus for glow in the dark.

You could put a dope seat on it, but you’ll need a new seat post. Pivotals are cheap.

Beyond that you’re looking at fairly expensive changes. If you update the cranks, you’ll need a new bottom bracket and new sprocket for sure- and because no one runs 44/16 anymore, you’ll need a new rear cog which in YOUR case will mean an entirely new rear wheel…..it builds fast.

I realize this probably isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but I hate seeing people throwing bad money out there chasing a sinking ship.

  2. That bike is crap. Don’t do it.

Mag wheels? Nah. Crap. It’s not 1980.

Look for a frame that’s made of chromoly
    Bars forks, chromoly.

Wheels – double walled with sealed bearings.

    Sealed hubs.

Look at Fit, Kink, We the People
Even the Mongoose Legion 100 and up (200,300,400,500) are WAY better options.
