    I’ve seen this happen a few times on cranks in my commercial shop. Since it can rotate on the crank arm like that, the interface between the chainring and crank is worn out. That could mean just the crank, just the chainring, or both. Definitely replace, as any fix you can come up with will not last long.

  2. That being pressed on, will need a new crank. I’d suggest one that a chainring can bolt to so it can be replaced as it wears. 38 tooth may be a 104bcd or 110 bcd
