Dale Dale Argentina!!

This post retells our journey from San Carlos de Bariloche to San Martín de los Andes. 192km over 3 days.

Bariloche is a Swiss influenced skiing town, famous for its chocolate and its powdered slopes. It’s situated on Lake Nahuel Huapi, and marks the start of the Seven Lakes tour, one of the headline acts of our months-long pedal festival.

  1. Super gorgeous area. I like San Martín better than Bariloche, the faux-Swiss Bariloche vibe is a bit thick at times 😉

    Have you spent time up around Cafayate / Cachi / Salta / etc? F*cking amazing also. Same with the area around Calafate and El Chalten. Personally, though, I think the single best stretch of road I’ve seen in S America (I lived in AR for 5+ years and spent years touring S America before that) was the Carretera Austral in Chile… bonkers beautiful and almost no traffic!
