I biked to work in similar weather during a cold snap, threw on multiple extra layers only to discover about a block from the front door that most of them were unnecessary.
People often ski in this weather, staying warm is definitely possible and you can avoid sweating/overheating much more easily than in warm weather.

I don’t mind the cold so much, but I’m not willing to push against the wind.

You in nyc? This is about to be my commute today, gonna be cold but still beats the bus!

Cold like this doesn’t bother me too much so long as I dress right. What keeps me from commuting in the winter is if there is ice. Had a nasty fall on some black ice on a bike trail last winter that I don’t want to experience again.

No problem. Just pay attention to your fingers and toes. Keep them happy, the ride isn’t so bad.

Biked for an hour at -20 C (-4F) this morning in Montreal (that’s with the windchill factor). Felt overdressed half an hour in! Except my feet, they were godamn freezing. Got to get some of those heated socks.

I ride no matter the temp unless there’s too much ice out

This weather or colder is usually 90+ days where I live. I’ve ridden to work when it was single digit °F and 20+ mph winds, 40mph gusts.

I don’t blame you

It’s -13C here, or about 9F according to Google. Going to go fat biking for fun!
