Hey, I'm not an extreme or professional mountain biker, but I need a new one and I really like these Ozone 500s I see at Academy. The 29" wheel bikes fit be best but both of the one's that Academy sells has an exposed chain in the front. I like the sprocket cover that the 27.5" bike has.
Any suggestions on if I can buy a sprocket that will fit to replace or just a chain guard? Any other suggestions on mountain bikes?
My requirements are full disc brakes, front and rear suspension. Idk anything about frame or rear shock mounting style. I usually just test bounce them in the store with my weight and choose which one I like more. Thanks.

Better off with a second hand hardtail at that sort of price, you will get a lot more for you money, 350 isn’t going to get you a full suspension it’s going to be very heavy and I imagine the rear suspension will be more of a hindrance that actually helping you
These aren’t mountain bikes, they are mountain bike shaped objects.
If your requirements don’t include a bash guard then buy this bike. You don’t need a bash guard. Likely go otb before you even come close to being in a scenario where your chain ring is taking damage.
This is not what you want to her but at anything below 1500$ i would not buy a full suspension. At ~400$ I would be looking for a used hardtail, all of these bike you show have very low quality parts that would wear down very fast and perform like shit even if you use it to just commute on pavement it’s not a good idea. There are many videos on YouTube on how to buy your first mountain bike that you can watch. If you have any questions feel free to ask, we are all here to help
Not to be an asshole but how do people get to the point of buying one of these bikes?? Do you not have eyes or any general concept of how things should work?
