I am using a trike that has v brakes attached to the back truck bed and i broke one spring adjusting the brakes, cant find a replacement anywhere where i live, so i need to buy new brakes, but seems the ones i am using are oriented differently or something, as the v brakes i am finding only look like they wont be much help for my usecase. any idea how to fix this?

these are not V brakes, the pivot is on the wrong side of the brake pad, [there are U brakes with the pads mounted on the wrong side](https://www.bike24.com/p2382499.html)
