For 2 years I’ve been fighting a Cannondale topstone that’s too big. Super short stem and the shortest reach bars I could find and it still never felt right.
Found an ad on FB marketplace from an ex-bike shop owner that was clearing out the last of his leftovers. Hydro Grx 2×10 in my size for $900 was too good to pass up.
The grx wheels, brooks saddle and carbon seatpost are from my Cannondale. Waiting on a 40t cassette and some new bar tape so I can swap over my cowchipper bars.
The Marin seems nice. Stock wheels and tires were HEAVY. Dropped over 2lb by switching to my grx wheels and TPU tubes.
Only complaints are the lack of mounts for a top tube bag, and TERRIBLE cable routing. The cables look ridiculous, and I don’t think it’s going to look any better after I shorten them.
