Well its the end of another year and where better to end 2024 than with an awesome walk along the Dorset Coast at Lulworth.
This was another spectacular day, albeit a windy one – in fact a classic Dorset winter walk. It was a chilly but sunny day and my walk took me west along the ‘inland coast path’, and then east along the main Dorset Coast Path taking in Bat’s Head, Swyre Head, Durdle Door, St Oswald’s Bay (where I manage to avoid getting wet feet), Dungy Head, Stair Hole, and Lulworth Cove. Along the way, we discuss what 2024 brought as well as looking forward to what 2025 might bring.
Oh, and what’s that about Beach Cusps?!

Love your videos Terry!!
I always look forward to seeing your videos on a Sunday evening. Happy New year to you and your family. 2024 has been a fantastic year of walks and we trust and pray that 2025 will be just as good, if not even better. Xx
Hi Terry, thanks for this splendid video and all of the others this past year.
Best wishes for the new year to you and your family.
Just a quick footnote, have you seen all the fencing the NT have erected around little sea, bramble bush bay heath land etc. Miles and miles of it even going out into the harbour. Signage says it’s to keep grazing livestock in. Hopefully it is and not another NT sinister plan to stop us walking in the area.

End of another great walk and a good year . Look forward to the walks 2025 Happy New Year
Loved the intro and outro music. Reminded me of one of my favourite bands, The Doors. You captured the sound of the wind very well. Did you have a foam cozy over the GoPro? or an external mic with a cat? Thank you for all your lovely videos.
Thank you for all your wonderful videos Terry. And we wish you a very Happy New Year 2025.
Really a year well spent, Terry. Hope you can make the best out of 2025, too, Happy New Year!
Cheers Terry for all your walks this year mate have an awesum New year 2025.
Well it may be chilly and damp and cloudy but your video sure came out well just love them views, ventured out myself but not on so long a walk and you know was pleasantly suprised today to see that they fixed that path round Houns Tout and put a bit of work into to by the looks, goes in a bit now on that east slope and not so steep, although you could probaby roll down if you were in a hurry. Wishing you a Happy New Year.
Another excellent video Terry, I've been around there many times however you always seem to show things from a different perspective, thank you so much for your videos throughout the year, ive done a couple myself and recognise the hard work and man hours that go into it. Heres to 2025, Happy New Year mate, thanks again.
Hi Terry, that was a great video mate and a wonderful looking walk. Thank you for the fantastic video’s you have put up for us to watch throughout this past year, we wish you and your family a very happy New Year. Cheers Glyn.
Thank you for all the videos you posted last year. We planned to go to Dorset next september. Hope to do a couple of your walks. Have a very good and awesom 2025.
Lovely vlog as always but especially enigmatic both above the cliffs and down on the beach.superb.Happy New Year Terry😊
Absolutely beautiful walk ❤
2 parallels with me… painfully shy child! Arthritis but I’m like you. Decided to just keep moving and save drugs/ treatments for when really needed. Joint replacement only has about a 10 year life and I plan to live ( and walk) a lot longer!!
Thank you for the beautiful scenery and doing the hard work for us 😂
Thank you for all your lovely videos. Happy New Year to you too. Looking forward to your adventures next year.
Congrats on your first anniversary Terry 🧙♂, and what a year of walking it's been. Awesome! (where have I heard that before?). That really was a cracker today, it's a favourite coast path section of mine too, not sure I'd have the stamina to try it again though, but never say never eh? I enjoy the hour long videos but I completely understand the pressure it must be to pump them out week after week. Perhaps split them over two weeks, or like you said, post fortnightly. Whatever you choose I'm sure they will still be warmly anticipated.
A question: not sure you will know the answer to this, but why the two Swyre Head's in this location when Swyre (or at least the Swyre I know) is inland from West Bexington, much further to the west? I must have had a premonition that you were going to post this vid, cos that was puzzling me last week. And lastly, a very happy new year to you too, we are the ones who should be thanking you for all your entertaining and interesting vlogs, we need no thanks. I'm looking forward to 2025, Bev.
Another lovely video to finish the year with. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year and a healthy 2025
1,000 miles of walking for 2024? Well done Terry, and what a way to finish it off with this fabulous walk along the iconic Durrasic Coast. I think this may be doable for Lin and I when we visit Dorset in January and February. Happy New Year
