Hello guys, I went to order up a replacement set of Shimano cranks and I can't seem to find this specific type in stock anywhere. It seems all the current Shimano 105 sets have only 4 holes for the chainring? Also they seem quite expensive.
Then I went to look at a set of FSA omega 10/11 2x 172.5mm which I THINK may fit, but then I started down the rabbit hole of q factors and compatibility.
I guess my main question to you guys what would you replace these with on a budget? And are brands generally interchangeable or not? Thanks for any help!!

Two choices: the cheap one is a shop that can Helicoil the pedal mounting hole. Not sure if that crank generation has enough metal to support that, but I’d go with « probably ». The expensive one is replacing the crankset. It will be the new look with non-axisymetric 4-holes rear-mounted bolts.
So new asymmetric 4x will work with your current groupset. Obviously you would need to get new chainrings.
FSA ones will work but you would need new bb.
Otherwise you can repair them like other commenters have mentioned.
